United Medical Center for Afghans/Rehabilitation Program for Afghanistan (UMCA/RPA) is none political, none profitable, none-governmental, charity based humanitarian organization established at 1987 in Pakistan, as a response to tremendous growing need of Afghan refugees to health care services. After the collapse of Kabul government in 1992, UMCA moved its head office to Jalalabad to take active part in the rehabilitation and reconstruction of war torn country. As a result of this move UMCA’s name was changed to UMCA/RPA. UMCA/RPA is working mainly in health, education, social development and women’s empowerment sectors. Its activities centered toward addressing women and children’s problem in target areas. Women empowerment, Safe motherhood, and child health is a priority for UMCA/RPA
